Tegan x Faim Foodie
I am an aspiring lawyer who loves all things food and travel. Immersing myself in another culture comes naturally. Flying also brings me great joy. I must’ve been a falcon in a past life, however monkeys are my favourite animals.
2015 was an epic year of learning. The most important lesson: loving myself wholly and unconditionally. My journey to self-love led me to veganism, hence my pseudo-celebrity couple nickname, Tegan (Tia + Vegan).
Am I a hippie tree hugger who doesn’t shower and eats rabbit-style meals? Truth be told, I’ve always been drawn to nature and wildlife; I am all about the peace, love and positive vibes; and leaves sometime feature in my meals.
However, being a vegan is more than a dietary choice. It is a lifestyle emphasizing compassion towards humans, animals and our environment. Did you know eliminating animal products from your diet saves more water than skipping a daily shower?
What Can I find on Faim Foodie?
My passion for food has driven me to create and re-formulate popular recipes, to align them with the Endo + PCOS Diets and ensure they are vegan-friendly, too. These recipes are easy, packable and delicious.
I also have fun researching and sharing the health benefits of plant-based foods. Many of the posts will have a slant towards women because I believe there needs to be more awareness of women’s health issues. Men, you can still benefit by sharing these facts and tips with the special lady (or ladies) in your life.
Lastly, I am tackling taboos. I want to empower women to feel and live fabulously whilst being unapologetically themselves. I share various lifestyle tips, from health, travel to beauty, and those fun OOTDs.
What does Faim even mean?
J’adore all things French. You can read about my French obsession here.
Faim is French for hunger, and to be hungry is “avoir faim”. I am always chanting, “J’ai faim” (I am hungry). I could be hungry for food, knowledge, art, fashion – you name it. Faim Foodie’s philosophy is to share all things one would be hungry for in one spot. Simple as.
If you’re hungry for me to share something specific, or to collaborate, let me know here!
What do I need to do?
- convert to veganism;
- ingest magic beans; or
- do everything all at once.
All I ask of you (Phantom fans?) is to try my recipes and share them with family + friends; leave a comment on posts; follow me on Social Media; or take a sneak peek into my life via Snapchat.
I’m in this gigantic bouncy house (made from recycled materials) doing back flips, and I just want y’all to be part of the fun!
